Our Wedding

Andrea and Matt have known each other for most of their lives—even playing on the same T-ball team—though they didn’t interact much; Matt just wanted to play baseball, and Andrea was busy crushing on all the boys in the dugout. They officially “met” and started dating in high school in 2016, sharing their first kiss at the fall Homecoming dance. They quickly fell in love—intertwining their lives and families.+In 2017, Matt moved to upstate New York for college, and the couple embraced long-distance. In 2019, Matt joined Andrea on her Gap Year, traveling the world together for several months. Their adventures were unforgettable—learning to make cheese in Spain, exploring waterfalls in Bali—and occasionally painful, like when Matt crashed a moped and ended up covered head to toe in road rash! Before this epic trip, Andrea told her brother Dante, “Either one of us will come home early…or I’m going to marry him.” Traveling together showed them they could face anything as a team, and have fun along the way!+Over the next few years, they balanced independent lives in college with constant support and love. After graduating, Matt returned to California to work, while Andrea spent a year studying in Spain—testing their relationship with international long-distance. They made the most of it and Matt visited for a couple months to make the separation a little easier. In 2023, Andrea returned home to West Marin, ending six years of long-distance.+In August 2024, Matt proposed at the top of a ridge in San Geronimo. Andrea knew it was coming—she had seen the ring box in his basketball shorts! They celebrated with a lovely gathering of family and friends before moving to Chicago for Andrea’s graduate school.+By July 2025, they were back in West Marin, settling into their first home in Woodacre alongside their new puppy, Appa, who keeps them on their toes. After nearly 10 years together, Andrea and Matt are thrilled to celebrate their love with family and friends as they embark on this next adventure.

Our Story

After nearly 10 years together, we’re excited to celebrate with all of you! Our wedding is intentionally designed to be a festive party where everyone has the opportunity to toast, chat, mingle, and dance together. With this in mind, we’ve chosen to forgo a traditional sit-down dinner in favor of a tapas-style service featuring an array of small and large bites — and don’t worry, there will be plenty of food! There will be standing cocktail tables throughout the venue, along with shared tables and lounge spaces for seating. The venue is fully outdoors and spread across multiple levels, creating lots of areas to explore and gather throughout the evening. Please note that Boylan’s includes gravel paths, some exposed dirt areas, steps between different tiers of the venue, and portable restrooms on site, so we recommend keeping this in mind when choosing your attire and footwear. Comfortable outdoor footwear is highly encouraged, as thin stiletto heels may be difficult on the terrain. We also suggest bringing an extra layer for the evening, as temperatures may cool down after sunset. A coat check will be available. When you need a break from chatting, Wonder Bread 5 will be playing two live 90-minute sets, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes! We’ll also have cornhole and other games available throughout the evening. Our hope is that everyone takes this opportunity to be fully present with one another, so we appreciate your courtesy in keeping phone use to a minimum. Our ceremony will be completely unplugged, and we kindly ask that phones and cameras be put away during that time. We’ll have a professional photographer capturing the evening and promise to share plenty of photos afterward. There’s no cell reception anyway, so consider this the perfect opportunity to disconnect, relax, and enjoy the moment with us. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Dress Code

If you’d like to enjoy the scenic beauty of West Marin, we’ve suggested some local accommodations in the area. Please note that these options are more remote—there’s no Uber service nearby, so a rental car is necessary, and the drive back after the wedding may take a bit longer. For more centrally located options with ride-share availability, we recommend checking out Mill Valley, Sausalito, or San Rafael. Additionally, there are many wonderful Airbnb and VRBO options throughout Marin and West Marin. To make your stay as smooth as possible, we suggest reviewing the event shuttle schedule for pickup locations before booking.
